Juvenile Bail Bonds

When a minor is detained, the process moves through the juvenile court system and we coordinate with the juvenile facility on the family's behalf.

02 Overview

Juvenile cases proceed through Colorado's juvenile court system. The bond posting mechanics are the same as for adult cases, but the holding facility and the court calendar are different.

03 The Process

How juvenile bonds move.

  1. 01

    Identify the juvenile facility

Different counties hold juveniles at different facilities. We confirm where the minor is held before starting paperwork.

  2. 02

Cosigner — typically a parent or guardian

Juvenile bonds normally require a parent or guardian as the cosigner.

  3. 03

    Post and pickup

Release happens through the juvenile facility after bond is posted. A guardian must be present for pickup.

05 Questions

Specific to juvenile.

A parent or legal guardian normally cosigns a juvenile bail bond. Specific underwriting depends on the bond amount.
